Covid19 struck in 2020 bringing our travel to an abrupt halt. Just prior to lockdown we did a few short drives to Wonga Wetlands, Tocumwal, Mulwala, Goulburn Weir, Colbinabbin and Reef Hills, all relatively short distances and day trips. Towards the end (hopefully) of the Victorian lockdown we are fortunate to live in the Border Region between Victoria and New South Wales and are able to get a permit to travel within the Border Region. Using this permit we travelled to Gol Gol, stayed at the Rivergardens caravan park and visited the Australian Inland Botanical Gardens. The Rose Garden section of the gardens is spectacular and a visit is highly recommended during blossom time. Later, on another permit, we travelled to Pooncarie in NSW and did day trips. We had intended to visit the Menindee Lakes and take a two-hour evening cruise on the River Ladybut were thwarted by road closures. We did manage to get to Lake Mungo and Wentworth.
