Grey Gypsies of Australia
Western Australia 2007
We got out of the car, got straight back in and went into the shop to by fly veils. Nowhere have we seen so many flies. We enjoyed our stay, though, and did a few day trips to Xantippe Tanks and Petrudor Rocks. The flies must have been useful as, along the way we saw lizards everywhere. Wherever we travelled in the area there were wildflowers in abundance. Apparently no one had told the flowers the season was over.

The Xantippe tank was filled by catching water flows  with stone fencing and channelling the water into the tank. There must once have been substantially more water than now
