We stayed twice at Bladensberg National Park, on the way up and the way back. The entry to the park is about 20 Km out of Winton on the road to Larks Quarry. Most visitors either stay in Winton or Bladensburg NP to visit Larks Quarry as the road past Larks Quarry to Jundah is very much an outback track. When we went through there was considerable activity upgrading the road. We camped by the river where a very cheeky young butcherbird scrounged anything he could wrap his beak around. Mind you, competition was hot; he had to get it before the Apostle Birds. The river/creek was only visible a short distance of about 75m as it went under the sand in both directions
